Closing the Bones Ceremonies
Closing the Bones is an ancient ceremony and rite of passage that has been practiced for thousands of years all over the world. The last documented practice here in the UK was in 1918. In Europe, it has been used within the health system up until the past 5-10 years but unfortunately it is no longer part of our standard practice. It is such an important part of the birthing process and needs to be recognised as such. In closing the bones post partum, you bring the whole physical, emotional and soul aspects in alignment. This helps in so many ways I cannot describe them all! But most importantly, whatever birth you had, however long ago you had it, this ceremony will help reduce postpartum problems, both physical and emotional.
I have learned the Ecuadorian practice using Mexican Rebozos with Japjeet Kaur, whose knowledge and dedication to the authenticity of this practice is deep and highly respectful to the lineage of this work.
- Closing the Bones will help women who have been pregnant, given birth, had miscarriages, are in the perimenopause, menopause or post menopausal point of life.
- It is also wonderful in helping those with PTSD, or have had traumatic events (acute or chronic), suffer with anxiety and or depression, and so much more. The list is fairly endless.
- Please contact me for more information if you are interested or would like to receive this deeply healing and transformative practice. I have a blog that you can read here for further information.
*Thank you to all those who have helped me in this practice, I am now setting a small fee till such time. If you would like to experience this ceremony then please do get in touch.
